Following is a detailed Epson ProSense 307 review, including features and my own experience using the watch for a few months of training and daily tracking. Hopefully, this will provide you more insight on the watch as you look to make your GPS watch selection!

First up here is a video review, which will give you an overview of the features in this multi-sport watch.

Usage

I always think it’s helpful to know how much someone has used a product before providing their thoughts! I’ve now been using it for all my workouts for 3 months, which means:

  • Treadmill runs, found it to be pretty accurate on distance
  • Outdoor trail runs, found it to do well with distance, HR, overall mapping of route
  • Biking, found it to work just as well as with running
  • Daily step tracking was accurate and useful
  • Did not use the nightly sleep tracker largely because I don’t need it right now
  • Did not have a chance to test it for swimming or the triathlon functions which make it easy to start the watch once and switch activitiesEpson Prosense 307 review

FAQS

A few of the most common questions I received from my running friends who saw me wearing the Epson ProSense 307 so frequently!

Wait, Epson makes watches?
Indeed! They’ve been in the watch game for a few years and it’s really just an extension of all the technology they’re innovating on in other areas. It has some of the most accurate GPS based on a number of others testing it and it tracks out to .1234 — the only problem here is the number of times I run back and forth my house to get to a round number is increased!

How is the battery life?
I was super impressed with the battery for a watch that I not only used daily for GPS, but all day for step tracking. They say it has up to 20 hours battery life for GPS, but all day wear is much longer. As noted, I would take it off for bed, but put it on again at 5AM to run and could go days without charging it.Epson Prosense 307 reviewWhat’s your favorite feature?
I love that I can customize what data I see on each screen. This makes it a lot easier for me to train by HR and to do things like watch my stride rate as I return from injury, which is going to ensure I’m picking up my feet quickly enough.

Honestly, I also like the way it looks, which makes me want to wear it all day.

Is it easy to use?
Having now tried at least 20 running watches, I swear this is the easiest. No touch bezel to get all weird on your shirt sleeve, no accidental screen touching to change things, just a couple of buttons that easily control things. Also because you can customize each screen for every type of workout via the app, it’s always easy to read.

Data review?
When you first finish a workout, you can scroll through each lap to see how your pace, HR, etc compared. After completing the workout and exiting that screen you’ll need access the data via the Epson View app or whichever app you are syncing to via Bluetooth.

Anything you don’t like?
The mobile app for syncing your data is a little slow and maybe not as updated as others in terms of looks, but you can also sync data to other apps you already use…so really I’m more concerned with how the watch works!

The watch is currently on sale on Amazon!
